A little something I am working on with my oil pastels. This scene of Grand Canyon, I photographed way back in 2012 and have always wanted to recreate it in pastels. Since there are distinctive canyon features, it was important for me to block in these structures first. Moving top to bottom, I'm beginning to work with the rich colors of the sky and canyon. I have always loved Grand Canyon and have drawn and painted it through the years.
